For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to raise chickens but never did because I thought it would be too much work. After years of speaking to different people who have done it, I decided to just go for it. Originally I was thinking of going with pullets and only having two, but Z & L convinced me otherwise. After a visit to a local feed store with the girls, we are now owners of five little chicks and our journey to backyard chickens has officially begun.
