This month, I have been trying to iron out a routine that includes relaxing, trying new things, and still staying active throughout the week! These may seem like simple items to check off every day but it's been proving to be a bit more challenging at times... and very enjoyable at others. Let's get into some of the things I've been doing and loving!
Mudday Funday...
I will be the first to say that anyone who tells you to stop drinking coffee is toxic and should immediately be cut out of your life. That being said, I will now admit I was a bit of an abuser. Like, one full pot a day abuser.
Toning the coffee down seemed like a good idea both to relax a bit more and have a more intentional focus. So when my husband suggested trying MUD WTR as a coffee alternative, (after having a ✨royal fit✨) I agreed.
I will also be the first to admit when I was wrong about trying something new. This mud water thing was better than I thought! I start the morning with a cup which lasts me until 3 or 4 p.m. and then if I want a coffee, I have some.
I've found that when I do have coffee now it actually gives me an energy boost rather than just keeping me alive.
Would absolutely recommend MUD WTR!
I cringe YOU cringe...
For anyone who watched the first 2 seasons of YOU on Netflix I know that you were both excited to see season 3 appear unexpectedly and also miffed that "welp, there goes my next week's free time for binging this!"
Well, luckily I am here to let you know that you will not, in fact, be able to binge this season in one week's time. I personally had to watch in one episode increments because it was so intense and cringy.
Let's be clear, it's 🔪 SO GOOD🔪 but I can't take it all at once.
Running Miles when it's Mild...
I love living in a world where Octobers in California exist. The weather is still warm enough where I don't have to wear leggings so thick that they're basically weighted but mild enough that I'm not sweating buckets.
Being able to run outside has been a nice change from the hot summer mornings and evenings (and hours in between) that nudged me to get an air conditioned gym membership. I think I'll still keep it for classes and when the heat inevitably comes back, but for now it's running in the great outdoors for me!
