Bullet Journaling Tips for Moms of Newborns

August 26, 2021

Being a mom is not easy!  After the euphoria of birthing lifts and you leave the cocoon of the hospital with all the helpful nurses, doctors, midwife, and lactation consultants ... you start to realize there are quite a few things that you need to keep track of for yourself as well as the doctor.

For one, the baby's feeding and diapering schedule so the pediatrician can ensure your baby is eating sufficiently and that his / her digestive system is functioning properly.  Not to mention height / weight charts, immunization records, milestones to document and special moments to preserve...

What better way to keep track of everything than in a bullet journal!  Bullet journaling merges all your daily to-dos, tasks, notes, schedules and plans in one notebook so it can help you beat baby brain and remember all those amazing but exhausting moments in a creative way.

The thing about bullet journaling is that it is 100% customizable and very flexible.  You can get as creative or be as minimal as you want but the key is that it keeps everything in one place so you stay organized and productive.

If you are just starting out with bullet journaling for new moms, here are a few ideas to start with:

  • Daily Feeding and Diapering
  • Height / Weight Tracker
  • Milestones (sitting up unassisted, rolling over, crawling, first steps, etc...)
  • Solids (type of food, amount, reactions, favorites, etc...)
  • Pumping Sessions (times, amount of milk, etc ...)
