Healthy Fall Drinks to pack in DINE

We are NOT here to say that pumpkin spice lattes aren't an amazing (okay, necessary) part of fall... On the contrary, fall drinks are one of our favorite parts of this season!

While we do love the spicy and sweet seasonal sips, we also wish that all of our pumpkin spice favorites were a bit healthier. That's why we compiled a list of healthy fall drinks that are just as easy to make at home as it would be to run to your local coffee shop! (without as much sugar)

1. Fall Spiced Golden Milk

Our take on golden milk is inspired by a recipe from 40 aprons. With minimal ingredients and milk alternatives this drink can be enjoyed by the whole family - guilt free!

Golden Milk in a DINE insulated food jar

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cup oat milk
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • A little freshly ground black pepper
  • A pinch of cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice

Just add all of these ingredients in a DINE, close, and SHAKE! Enjoy it by the fire at home, or take it on the go.

2. Cashew Coffee:

Our next fall favorite is a recipe by Pinch of Yum! Its simplicity makes it an everyday favorite and its creamy yet savory taste makes it the perfect fall TREAT.

 Cashew Coffee in ZoLi DINE

Ingredients:

  • 1 serving of strongly brewed coffee (about 1.5 cups)
  • ¼ cup cashews (roasted and unsalted)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Small pinch coarse sea salt

Blend all of these ingredients for about 45 seconds in your blender until you get a smooth and creamy texture. Pour into DINE to keep warm all morning and enjoy, or chill for later!

3. Crockpot Apple Cider

Raise your hand if you LOVE a good crockpot recipe. Now, raise another hand if you love a good apple cider recipe. All hands up? Good. Us, too. This recipe from Almost Super Mom combines BOTH to make the best cider that will warm you from the inside out.

Apple Cider in DINE jar

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups water
  • 4 honey crisp apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 pear
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tbsp mulling spices

Combine all ingredients in your crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours. Then, scoop fruit, spices and cinnamon sticks out of the bowl and discard. Pour the remaining liquid through a strainer and garnish with fruit and cinnamon sticks. Serve warm!

4. Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie

Now, on to a drink that can also be a meal! Or if you're like us, a delicious pre-meal snack ;) Recipe from The Real Food Dietitians.

ZoLi DINE pumpkin smoothie

  • 1 banana, peeled and frozen
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 5 tbsp nut butter of choice
  • ½ cup unsweetened oat milk or water
  • ½ cup canned coconut milk
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • Handful of spinach (optional)

Just blend until smooth and voila! You have a filling, protein-packed fall treat. Pack it in a DINE and enjoy on the go hours later.
