What year was your store established?
BabyEarth began in 2003 as an e-commerce company, and the first store location opened a couple years later.
What motivated you to open a baby store?
Heather Bendle, the company's co-founder, couldn't find the new and innovative products she desired for her own children easily at any one location. She decided to open her own website/store to help out other moms with this problem!
What is the inspiration behind the name of your store?
The name BabyEarth is meant to encompass "everything for baby's world." We do, however, also specialize in a wide variety of organic and Eco-friendly products.
What best describes your store's personality?
Community oriented! We are a small, local company and it is important for us to be involved. We attend local events and partner with other community leaders in order to truly be a valuable resource of education for our local customers, as well as a trusted seller of great products nationwide.
The best part of your job?
Absolutely the best part is helping out parents, especially firs-timers, find solutions for any parenting obstacles they may be experiencing by finding the right products for their needs.
What is the one thing you wish you knew prior to opening your store?
How crazy and huge Amazon would become!
